sensitive plasters, my arse.

Emma's capsule eds review of 'Elastoplast Sensitive hypoallergenic, skin friendly, latex free plasters'... FAIL. (Bear in mind I dont have very stretchy skin; for an edser my skin is robust, but as far as average skin goes mine is abit feeble, I injure easily- but I have never ripped a bloodblister up in my skin just trying to gently remove a plaster, especially a plaster that's ment to be especially for people like me and a plaster that had been soaked in warm water for a long time before I tried to remove it. very dissapointented, advice to all edsers-dont be fooled by these expensive but it appears quite useless plasters, the best I can say about them is the rash I got was slightly less than I would get from a normal plaster and they are more flexible in themselves so dont pull at the skin alot when theyre on. Before I removed it I thought I was on to a winner I'm pretty cross about it, as if it's not bad enough having your veins butchered for blood tests every other week now I look even more like a junkie- thanks elastoplast, have fun rolling in profits from the markup on these not at all special 'special plasters'. hmph.

On a happier note, I have new carers and theyre a great team, feeling alot more able to face all the medical hassle when I know someone has my back. This week has been endless blood tests and dental appointments and appointments and meetings with various disablity service people and trying to teach new carers all my needs and weird disabilities and medication reviews, there are about 50 things admin wise I have to do and I can hardly remember my own name when my neck is this messed up. Some good omens though.. like the photo below, which is actually from two eggs, not four! double, double yolks! double good luck! one of my lovely carers was on her first shift so we took it as a very good sign for us both!

And a bunch more pretty garden life photos I've taken this week...
